Amanda McDowell

I am a Graphic Designer and Photographer with more than 12 years of experience. I specialize in ad design, both print and digital, package design, online content, portrait and event photography.

I believe that design and photography requires open-mindedness as well as seeing it not as "pretty pictures" but as a problem or puzzle to be solved. I believe this requires critical thinking and open-minded critique from a team. No designer is at their best in a bubble. Fresh eyes from other talented team-members is always going to improve a design.

I am like a houseplant.
If I don't spend time in fresh air and sun, I start to wilt. Anytime I can bring my sketchbook or laptop outside to work- I absolutely will! 

I dream of fields of wildflowers, a pasture with goats and donkeys, fresh bread, and garden fresh veggies. Add art and music, and I am in paradise.

I love art and design and photography. Mix those things with a botanical or natural style or subject, add magic and BAM! You have me hooked.

I have 3 little boys, a loving husband, and the start of a zoo at home. I enjoy gardening, painting, drawing, and anything outdoors.
